Domestic Homicide Reviews

Domestic Homicide Reviews (DHR's) were introduced in 2011 under Domestic Violence, Crime and Victims Act 2004.  Community safety partnerships are responsible for commissioning a multi-agency review in certain circumstances where the death may have resulted from violence, abuse, neglect, by a relative or someone connected to the household.

The review is led by an independent chair who considers the roles of each agency and the information provided from the victim's family and makes recommendations to identify lessons learned and whether changes are needed to reduce the risk of it happening again in the future.

Further information can be found via the Home Office.
